Brittany Rausch is the last remaining “original” Pump Girl and is the creator of the group along with her mom, Corrie. Although she was the youngest to be diagnosed with diabetes which (2), and the youngest to begin using an insulin pump (10), at age 17 Brittany is the oldest member of the group. As a senior at Newport Harbor high school, Brittany takes all honors and advanced placement courses while maintaining a grade point average over 4.0. She lives in Costa Mesa, California with her younger brother Cameron and her parents Steve and Corrie. Brittany loves to sing and has done so since she could talk. This might be why she is such a big fan of the hit TV show American Idol and an even bigger fan of Clay Aiken. Clay might have come in second, but he’s #1 in her heart. The Pump Girls has been the perfect outlet for Brittany’s talent and her passion to help others. Her goal since the 6th grade has been to attend Stanford and although she’s not sure which major is going to spark her enthusiasm, but as long as she shows the same dedication that she has had for the Pump Girls she’ll be a success.
